Hot Buttered Rum From: Mary White 1 cup butter, softened 1 cup packed brown sugar 1/2 cup sifted powdered sugar 1 teaspoon nutmeg 1 teaspoon cinnamon 2 cups (1 pint) vanilla ice cream, softened Rum Boiling water Beat together the butter, both sugars, and spices until well blended. Beat in the ice cream. Pour into a freezable container and freeze. Makes about 4 cups of mix. I've had the butter and ice cream partially separate so it might be best to put the mixing bowl with the mix in the freezer for a little while, then remix it and pour it in a tupperware container to freeze the rest of the way. The mix will not freeze solid. To serve, spoon about 1/3 cup of the ice cream mixture into a mug, add a shot of rum and boiling water, stir and enjoy!
